Petersfield Model Search Competition

Petersfield Model Search Competition

The Search is Over

The Search is over, for the Face of Petersfield.  Since early June over one hundred and fifty people registered for the Rams Walk, Petersfield Modelsearch event.

The eighteen model finalists dazzled shoppers at Rams Walk on Saturday, 1 October in the last stage of the competition organised in association with the Petersfield Post and Sandra Reynolds Model Agency.

The sun shone and a host of great looking kids, strutted on the catwalk in a array of Autumn and Winter fashions as judges took on the tough job of choosing just one boy and girl in each of the four categories.

The team of judges included Louise Groves from New Look and Maureen Harris from M & Co.

Tessa Harrison from Sandra Reynolds Model Agency also attended the Castings and 'was spoilt for choice'. "All the judges had to work hard to eliminate so many strong contenders and reach a final verdict. The ultimate prize, for the test photoshoot for the most promising model, went to Richard Knights" said Tessa.

"Modelling is not just about good looks and confidence, but about individuality and character and the people we saw this weekend had personality in abundance," said enthused Andrea Williamson, Show Choreographer. "It's taken nearly sixteen weeks to get to this stage".

Andrea continued, "When the finalists appeared in front of us after three days of rehearsals for the show, they had all blossomed and had all the confidence and poise to carry the job off with style - so in the end, though we have chosen our winners, we know there are plenty of other contestants who have real model potential."

That extra special element on the day could of only happened with the kind co-operation of the shops at Rams Walk, which included New Look, M & Co., Accessorize, Monsoon, CC and Viyella, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Millets and Vision Express.
